RubiQube® is a (cloud-based) mobile applications discovery and aggregator that seeks to connect locally developed mobile apps (HTML 5 apps) with their target market using a location based app recommendation system in the app store. The application is available for free on the Blackberry, Android and iOS devices. RubiQube® has its own catalog of in-apps that it makes available to users based on relevance to them. In recent studies, it has been discovered that apps recommended by most of the conventional app stores are of less relevance to the users. For example, a user in Kenya looks for a travel app and gets US-based travel apps which are irrelevant to him. RubiQube® helps bridge that gap with its location recommendation functionality. The app makes loads of its revenue from advertisements, but its looking to explore other revenue streams like in-app purchases & Sales, content subscriptions and sharing formula with 3rd-party content providers.
