About
In Nigeria alone, an average of 1.7million students’ graduate from High Schools annually and only 400 thousand of these students can be admitted into institutions of higher learning in Nigeria on average. This is due to limited number of quality universities, Infrastructure Depletion, Low Graduation Rate, Strikes and an old education system. The number of students who leave Nigeria to study in other countries are at an average of about 200 thousand annually. The Central Bank of Nigeria estimated that Nigerian students spend over N900 Billion (approx $50m) annually in Internationally for tuition, feeding and housing. This deficit leaves us with over 1.1 million students who are without options for the opportunity gain admissions into higher education institutions. BAU will focus on using mobile and web technologies with adequate local support and centres to provide quality learning to a wide array of students across diverse backgrounds.
